This is why I do this job:

It was wonderful to return to this client’s home today and hear what her art journey has done for her over the last couple of years. An extremely successful high functioning clever gal, today we talked about how art has made her feel again. Her home has slowly evolved from a (her words) slightly austere house into a cosy home that is slowly filling with artworks that “she sits and looks at and absolutely loves”. Today was a big reminder about why I love doing what I do - I’m not selling art, I’m matchmaking people with it and watching them fall in love along the way. It’s a real honour to be able to do that I am so grateful that my clients met me into their spaces and their lives and we go on these journeys together. Very odd (and lovely) to be dream scrolling through @themodernhouse and think - gosh that looks familiar! And lo and behold it is! A client of mine’s beautiful flat that I sourced art for many moons ago. And gave some advice to not sell her lovely inherited print by Barbara Hepworth. It made me really happy to still see this up. Clients are often surprised about how often I tell them not to buy something, or hang something there or to hold onto something. Hepworth prints have probably trebled in price since I advised this client not to sell hers. If you would like some advice, a home consultation costs £220.

I’m completely OBSESSED with the works by @craigsimpsonartist who is represented by the wonderful @castlegatehousegallery. I’m so obsessed that I bought one a few months ago and here we are this morning doing the handover! Steve thought I might not get it in my fiat but how little does he know that I can get a 1.2 x 1.2m in with a little bit of creative thinking. Also have 7.5m squared of very nice tiles that are in there too - currently for sale on Facebook marketplace if anyone is interested 😂.

Thank goodness for my beautiful clients. This one, who I now have worked with for more years than I care to admit patiently and gently coaxed me out of my creative funk with this amazing project. I think my pre frontal cortex shut down for a few months back there due to life being a bit well, lifey. But this gorgeous client kept on at me, in the nicest possible way, until I sent her ideas for this incredible space. A top floor penthouse overlooking a beautiful tree canopy, This work ‘The Hunt’ by fav artist of mine John Clark was an absolute perfect match for this space. The vertical lines, the trees of course and the touches of pink and brick red, well….. . We are delighted with the result, but for me this placement stands for quite a lot more than that. A reawakening of sorts. And I am deeply grateful to my kind and sensitive client who really did a kind thing with me here. I think she instinctively knew (as only the sisterhood do) I needed to be teased out of my creative shell. I love my job and she reminded me how important this side of my life is to remain connected to. If you would like 10 ideas for your space it costs £220.

Good things come to those who wait. Followers will know I have much admired the art by @pinkie.maclure for several years, so when these lovely clients found a secret window in their beautiful light filled Edinburgh pad and asked for a commission, well I was over the moon. And what a beauty it is. Beautiful, painterly and of course chock full of all those Maclure details that make it just so endlessly fascinating and interesting to live with. I have loved hearing from the clients just how dynamic the piece is, with evening light from the hall casting through the work into the study and then vice versa. ‘No Mow May’ is a piece that celebrates beautiful wilderness/garden of native plants such as pink/purple cranesbill, ivy, twisting brambles, tormentil, wild roses, birds and butterflies, with some little human faces, hands and feet disappearing amongst it all. Tiny people being taken over by giant plants. I’m in stained glass heaven. Lucky clients are too.

Huge congrats to the Lionesses. Could the next, I am guessing, man, who designs the next winning podium perhaps not make it look like a massive sanitary pad at certain angles. Unless this cup is sponsored by @bodyformuk or @tenaladyofficial and Ive just witnessed some of the best most brilliant subliminal marketing I have ever seen. Now I think about it I’m in two minds? Marketing genius or bad design. I could believe both. 🤷‍♀️🫣😂.

Better than any degree show. Er, ‘performance art’ Bond Street. Faker. Note the sound and there’s no connection from his violin to the amp. I loved the audacity.
